Hi, I'm Oliver. I'm currently a student at Georgetown studying computer science with an interest in systems and performance-oriented development. Prior to attending Georgetown, I worked for a couple of years after graduating with a BA in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Background
After studying international relations at Cal, I spent a couple years working at start-ups across a range of operational and strategic roles. Across organizations, I found my work consistently involved deploying technology to solve tough problems. Given I had a modest self-taught technical background in Python, Linux, and web development, I was often tasked with handling more technical projects in addition to my primary, non-technical work. Over time, I realized the technical projects were the ones I found most rewarding, and that realization ultimately led me to formally pursue computer science.
